Our team

At Wattway, our mission is to contribute to the energy transition by transforming already developed surfaces into sources of local, competitive, and low-carbon solar electricity, while preserving their original use and ensuring the seamless integration of our solutions into their environment.

For more than 10 years, Wattway has developed unique expertise in driveable photovoltaic paving solutions. This technology combines Colas’ expertise in road infrastructure with the photovoltaic know-how of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). Today, our solution has reached full maturity and is designed and manufactured in France and across Europe. It has already been deployed at more than 150 sites worldwide.

Wattway is currently accelerating its commercial development, primarily in Europe and Japan, to address the growing demand for renewable energy production and the optimization of available land resources.

Wattway brings together a team of 15 passionate professionals and experts in their respective fields, based across France and Japan. Together with its partners, the company covers the entire value chain, from technology design and photovoltaic module manufacturing to customer engagement, on-site installation, and long-term maintenance services.
