Generating renewable energy in ports while preserving their operations and landscape: it s possible!
At Villa Laurens in Agde, Wattway took part in the Ports d’Occitanie partners’ evening, alongside port management teams, representatives and elected officials from across the region.
These discussions provided an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the Union des Villes Portuaires d’Occitanie and showcase the potential of trafficable photovoltaic surfacing for port areas.
Making use of existing developed surfaces, generating local electricity for self-consumption and preserving existing uses: key benefits that support ports in their energy transition without requiring additional land.
Thank you to Serge Pallarès, Anne Chabrol, Anne-Sophie Julien and the entire organising team for this event!
Would you like to develop solar energy generation at your port? Let’s discuss your project.
